An amazing eggy bread!


Serves 4


Step 1
Into a small pan, add the star anise, orange and lime peel, cinnamon sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Place on to the hob over a medium heat, mixing all the time. Once it begins to boil, remove from the heat and set aside to cool a little
Step 2
Crack your eggs and add the yolks to a bowl. Whisk to combine, before pouring your milk mixture through a sieve, into the bowl with the yolks. Mix to combine, then set aside
Step 3
Cut your brioche into chunky slices, then place each side into your mixture from earlier, ensuring both sides get coated
Step 4
Over a medium heat, melt your butter in a pan, then add your brioche slices. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown
Step 5
Add the cornstarch to your left over milk mix, then sieve it into a pan. Heat it up over a medium heat, until it reaches your desired thickness
Step 6
Plate up by adding some of your thickened mix onto the plate, then adding a slice of the brioche on top
