Steak with 3 Mustard Sauce

Sirloin steak smothered in a mustard sauce


Serves 4


Step 1
Heat a pan on high heat. Trim the fat off the steaks and season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper
Step 2
Once the pan is hot add oil and the steaks along with the fat
Step 3
In a bowl combine crème fraiche, Dijon mustard, English mustard and wholegrain mustard
Step 4
Flip the steaks over. Let them cook on the other side then transfer to a wire rack. Cover the steaks with foil
Step 5
In the same pan add butter and chopped onion. Stir to deglaze the bottom of the pan. Add chopped courgettes and cook for 3 minutes
Step 6
Add chopped mushrooms to the pan and stir
Step 7
Once the vegetables have cooked down add the mustard mixture. Stir till well combined then turn off the heat
Step 8
Slice the steaks. Add the steak juices into the sauce. Plate up the steak with the sauce on top and enjoy
