Step 1
Melt the butter in a saucepan, and while it is heating chop up the dark chocolate. As soon as the butter is fully melted, stir in the chopped choc till fully melted

While the chocolate mixture cools, whisk together the eggs and sugar till pale in colour and fluffy
Step 3
Once fluffy, stir through the chocolate mixture till fully incorporated
Step 4
Next, sieve in the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder with a pinch of salt, and gently fold through.

Prepare a 22 cm dish with baking paper, then pour in half the mix

Evenly distribute around a third of the caramel over this mixture, then cover with the remaining brownie batter.
Step 7
Spread over the remaining caramel in blobs (reserving just enough for a final drizzle after it they have cooled) and swirl with a toothpick
Step 8
Bake for 35 minutes at 170, then remove from the oven, and leave to cool completely, before drizzling with the remaining caramel, sprinkling with sea salt and cutting open!
