All the best part of a Sunday roast in handheld form
Ingredients
Serves 8
6 Jolly Hog Proper Porker Sausages
1 jar apple sauce
1/2 nutmeg
1 sheet puff pastry
100g pork scratchings
Method
Step 1
Heat to oven to 180°C. Cut open the sausages and place the sausage meat in a bowl
Step 2
Grate in the nutmeg and mix in the apple sauce; set aside
Step 3
Unroll the puff pastry, cut lengthways in half and divide the sausage meat between the two halves
Step 4
Fold over the pastry, seal by pressing along the overlapping edge, and cut into 8 equal pieves
Step 5
Place onto a baking sheet, and seal the edges with a fork. Bake for 20 minutes
Step 6
Meanwhile crush up the pork scratchings. When the rolls are golden after the 20 minutes, remove from the oven
Step 7
Brush with some more apple sauce, sprinkle with scratchings and place back in the oven for another 5-10 minutes till golden
