Lamb Seekh Kebab

Ingredients (15)

Serves 6

500g lamb mince

1 onion

2 green chillies

5 cloves garlic

1tbsp grated ginger

1tbsp cumin

1tbsp red chilli flakes

2tbsp ground coriander

2tbsp salt

5tbsp chopped fresh corriander

Mayonnaise (to serve)

Chopped lettuce (to serve)

Chopped cucumber (to serve)

Chopped red onion (to serve)

Chopped tomato (to serve)


Step 1

Chop the onion and chilli so that they’re small enough to fit into a blender and blend with the cloves of garlic. Using a muslin cloth, squeeze out the excess moisture

Step 2

Add the onion, chilli and garlic paste to a bowl with the lamb mince and add the grated ginger along with cumin, chilli flakes, coriander powder, salt and fresh coriander. Mix together with your hands and leave to marinate for 3-5 hours

Step 3

Shape into kebabs on metal skewers and fry in a griddle pan, turning every 5 minutes

Step 4

To serve, spread mayonnaise into a pitta, followed by the kebab, lettuce, cucumber, red onion, tomatoes and top with more mayonnaise
