Method

Step 1
On a large oven tray, line with foil and then lay out a whole packet of saltine crackers side by side.
Step 2
Next, In a pan on a medium heat, melt together butter and sugar. Bring this up to a boil for five minutes, stir constantly. This will create a caramel sauce for you to pour over the crackers.
Step 3
When the caramel is ready, it should resemble a thick golden sauce consistency. Pour it over the saltine crackers evenly. Use a spatula to ensure an even coverage.
Step 4
Pop it into the oven for six minutes at 400F.
Step 5
Remove from the oven, and sprinkle on your chocolate chips. The heat from the caramel and crackers should melt the chips. Spread the chocolate layer out evenly again using a spatula.
Step 6
Sprinkle over red and green m&m's for a bit of festive decoration! Leave to cool and solidify by placing in the fridge for a minimum of three hours. Enjoy!
