Method

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Start by browning off some butter. Place in a pan over a medium heat, melt and cook the butter until golden brown. Then, pour into a bowl and leave to one side to cool

Step 2

Then, into a large bowl, place your butter, white sugar, brown sugar and egg and mix until combined. Once combined, add your salt, bicarbonate of soda and vanilla extract and mix again

Step 3

Once those ingredients are combined, add in your flour and chocolate chips and mix one more time

Step 4

Form your cookie dough into balls with your hands and lay onto a tray lined with parchment paper and lightly press on the top to form a thick cookie shape. Sprinkle some chopped chocolate and sea salt over each cookie

Step 5

Place into the oven at 180C for 8 minutes. Take them out and give the tray a tap on your counter to help them settle and then place back in for 2 minutes
